While on a diet, I take two capsules with plenty of water about 30 minutes before meals. The fibre prevents a rapid rise in blood sugar levels, and the psyllium swells with water, promoting a full feeling and helping me eat less. I switched from the non-capsule version for ease of use.

I took this for my mother, who frequently has constipation. Combined with warm water on an empty stomach, it effectively alleviated her issues. I also take it occasionally, ensuring to drink plenty of water as psyllium absorbs a lot of liquid. The addition of apple pectin is welcome as it supports gut health.

Smooth bowel movements
I bought psyllium husk for constipation and learned the importance of drinking enough water with it. Initially, I struggled when I didn’t hydrate properly. Now, I drink plenty of water after eating, which aids in smooth bowel movements. Unlike laxatives, psyllium doesn't build tolerance. I prefer the pills over powder for convenience.
